I created this piece shortly after a trip to Las Vegas, where I was highly influenced by the "stacked" aesthetic of slot machine design.  It is part of an ongoing series based on books from childhood and reinterpreted memories of the 1980's.   

The piece is alternatively titled Spine and pays homage to that all American girl-next-door, Nancy Drew.
